ConferenceCat Plug-In Operation

The ConferenceCat Plug-In for Microsoft Outlook is intended to be used by any one who has a ConferenceCat User Account and owns a Conference Room. Under normal circumstances every one who owns a Conference Room (E.g.: Conference Organizer) will have a Conference User Account that would have been set up by the Conference Administrator.

The ConferenceCat Plug-In for Microsoft Outlook operates by communicating with the ConferenceCat Server and retrieves conference details for the conference organizer and creates a new Microsoft Outlook Conference Meeting Request with a single click.

To use the ConferenceCat Plug-In for Microsoft Outlook please follow the steps below:

1. In Microsoft Outlook click on the ConferenceCat button and select the ‘New Conference’ sub menu item as shown below:

2. The ‘Conference Server Authentication‘  form will open if using the Plug-In for the very first time only. Enter the User Name, Password and ConferenceCat Server URL as received from the Administrator.

Click the ‘Continue’ button to save the information entered and close the form.

NOTE:  The ‘Conference Server Authentication’ screen will only be presented to you on the very first time you use the ConferenceCat Plug-In for Microsoft Outlook. Please note however that you can open this form at any time to change the User Name, Password and ConferenceCat Server URL by clicking the ‘User Info’ sub menu button as shown below:

3. Repeat steps #1 above by clicking the ‘New Conference’ sub menu item. This will create a new Conference Call Meeting with Conference details for the Conference Room belonging to the Conference User Account that was entered in Step #2 above.

4. Enter the list of recipients for the conference, select the correct start and end time for the Conference and send the Conference Meeting invite to the recipients.

5. That’s it….Happy conferencing with ConferenceCat.
