Termination Route Billing
RadiusCat allows you to calculate the margins for every call that is made by your customers. Margins can be defined in many different ways however in RadiusCat a margin is the difference between what you charge your customers and what you termination service provider charges you for the same call.
For Example:
-          You sell Toronto ‘416’ for $0.04 @ minute
-          You buy Toronto ‘416’ for $0.01 @ minute
-          Your margin on every Toronto ‘416’ call is $0.04 - $0.01 = $0.03
To be able to calculate margins in the RC2 system you must define and maintain Vendor Rates as well Selling Rates. Lastly you must define a Termination Billing Route that associates a Vendor Rate with the IP Address or URL of the Termination Service provider
The following steps are required to calculate margins in the Route Termination Report
1)      Open RC2 and click on the Rates link in the left menu
2)      Click the ‘Go to Buying Rates ’ button in the top right corner of the Rates screen
3)      Add a Vendor Rate Table (and rates) that will represent the rates that you buy minutes from your termination service provider
4)      Click the ‘Termination Billing Routes’ link button to open the Termination Billing Route module
5)      Click the ‘New Termination Billing Route’ link button to add a new Termination Billing Route
6)      Enter the correct information for the route as follows
o   IP Address/URL: This is your Termination Service Provider’s IP Address of URL that you send calls to or receive calls from.
o   Vendor Rate Table: This is the Vendor Rate Table (Buying Rates) that will be associated with calls made to/received from this Termination Service provider.
o   Description: This is a description for the Termination Billing route.
o   Notes: This is a note for the Termination Billing route.
o   Identifier: This is for removing any prefix that is included in calls sent to the Termination Service Provider that you want to remove from the Destination number in the Route Termination Report.
