Send SMS Messages from RadiusCat
RadiusCat (RC2) SMS feature allows you to send SMS messages to mobile phones. This feature can be used to automate notifications or alerts to customers for payments, low balances, account closure, etc.
To use the RadiusCat SMS feature you must have a valid SMS Service Account from an SMS Carrier. By default RC2 works with the SMS Services provided by SMS Service Provider Clickatell (http://www.clickatell.com).
Clickatell offers several different Messaging Gateway Connection methods however RadiusCat is compatible wit the SMPP and SMTP methods. Below is information on how to configure the SMTP method of SMS integration with Clickatell service.
- Sign up for you Clickatell SMS SMTP Account (http://www.clickatell.co.uk/register.php)
- Obtain the following from your Clickatell SMS SMTP Account
- SMS_Api_Id
- SMS_User
- SMS_Password
- Clickatell Email Adress to which SMS Messages must be sent
- Set the above information in the RadiusCat RC2 Console’s Settings module as shown below:
- You can manually send SMS Messages to one or more cusotmers using the SMS module as shown below
