Rate Table - Importing (RadiusCat Format)
The Rate Table & Rates module allows you import destination rates from a CSV file. Rates to be imported must exist in the form of a CSV file and must exist in the RadiusCat format (special format). In addition to having the CSV file you must manually add a Rate Table that you will be importing the Rates into. The easiest way to create a CSV file is to use Microsoft Excel then save the file as CSV format.
The CSV file requires 19 columns in the specific order as follows:
· rate_table_index
· pattern
· description
· bill_period_initial_len
· bill_period_incremental_len
· day_start
· day_initial_charge
· day_increment_charge
· eve_start
· eve_initial_charge
· eve_increment_charge
· night_start
· night_initial_charge
· night_increment_charge
· blocked
· connectionCharge
· compensation
· tax
. maximum
Please note that every column must have a value.
For example, if you are not associating a tax with a rate then the tax column must have a 0. Once you have created the CSV file containing the Rates follow the steps below to import:
- Open the RadiusCat Billing application and click on the “RATES” menu.
- Click the “Import Rates” link button to open the Import Rates module
- Select 'RadiusCat' for the 'Source File Format' option
- Click the 'Browse' button to locate the txt source file that contains the rates to be inported
- Click the 'Upload' button, to upload the file to the Server
- Click the 'Process RadiusCat File' button to process the file
- Return to the Rates screen and click the 'RATES' menu to view the Rate Table.
You should see newly imported Rates.
NOTE:
1. The “rate_table_index” in the CSV file must be same for all records in the file
2. The “rate_table_index” value in the CSV file must be the same as the numeric value of the Rate Table into which you are importing the rates from the CSV file.
