Starting with RadiusCat 2.x you can provision a DID directly in the RadiusCat Billing without having to make changes in the Brekeke SIP Server Dial plan for each DID to be provisioned.

With the DID provisioning feature there are 5 steps that must be completed and are as folows:

  1. Configure Dial Plan to route the DID to the specific PBX Server (only required if using multiple Brekeke SIP Servers)
  2. Configure the Dial Plan to route DID to specific Account (SIP Phone or PBX Voice Mail)
  3. Add ARS in Brekeke PBX to accept calls from SIP Server
  4. Configure the DID in the RadiusCat Billing Routing Table
  5. Add the DID to the relevant Account in RadiusCat

1. Configure Dial Plan to route the DID to the specific PBX Server

Add the following Dial Plan to the SIP Server.

This Dial Plan will allow the SIP Server to comunicate with the RadiusCat Billing to determine which IP Address the inbound DID should be routed to by the SIP Server. Also this Dial Plan requires the installation of the SVK Software Dial Plan Plug-In which is delivered with the Enterprise version of the RadiusCat Billing 2.x

NOTE: This step is only necessary if you are using 2 seperate Brekeke SIP Servers where one SIP Server interfaces with the DID provider and the other is where your SIP Users will REGISTER. If you are using one SIP Server fr both actions above then skip this step.

2. Configure the Dial Plan to route DID to specific Account (SIP Phone or PBX Voice Mail)

This Dial Plan will allow the SIP Server to comunicate with the RadiusCat Billing to determine whichSIP User (SIP Phone or PBX Voice Mail Box) the inbound DID should be routed to. This Dial Plan requires the installation of the SVK Software Dial Plan Plug-In which is delivered with the Enterprise version of the RadiusCat Billing 2.x

This Dial Plan will allow the SIP Server to route the calls out to the specified proxy or termination provider. This Dial Plan requires the installation of the SVK Software Dial Plan Plug-In which is delivered with the Enterprise version of the RadiusCat Billing 2.x

3. Add ARS in Brekeke PBX to accept calls from SIP Server

An ARS must be added in the Brekeke PBX to instruct the PBX to accept calls from the SIP server in the Dial Plan above

4. Configure the DID in the RadiusCat Billing Routing Table

  1. Log into the RadiusCat Billing with 'admin' credentials
  2. Click on 'DID Routes' menu option (left hand pane)
  3. Click the 'Routes' TAB and define a new route for the DID by clicking the 'New Outbound Route' link button
  4. Add the Name, IP Address and Notes for the route and click the 'Save' button
  5. Click the 'DID Route' TAB
  6. Click the 'New DID Route' link button to define the DID Number and associate it to thhe route
  7. Add the DID #, Route and notes for the DID
  8. Click the Save button

5. Add the DID to the relevant Account in RadiusCat

  1. Log into the RadiusCat Billing with 'admin' or 'customer' credentials
  2. Locate the Account to which you would like to assign the DID
  3. Open the Account and click on the DID TAB
  4. Click the 'New DID' link button and add the DID and Save the DID record

Now all calls that are made to that DID from the PSTN will be directed to the SIP Phone/PBX Account Voice Mail for that Account.

NOTE: DID Inbound calls are charged to the Account using the rates that are defined in the DID Rate Table. The DID Rate table is any Rate Table that has been created with the name 'DID xxxxxxxxxxx', meaning the name of the Rate Table must have the text prefix ''DID" at the start of the name. Once this Rate Table is created RadiusCat Billing will use it to charge Inbounf DID calls to the Account on which the DID is assigned. The general rules for Rate Pattern matching still applied to DID xxxxxx Rate Tables.
