 Dial By Name (DBN) PBX Configuration

  1. Install the DBN Java Plug-In Jar File and Logging properties files in the folder specified in the installation ReadMe file
  2. Create a PBX User extension that will serve as the Dial By Name Script Extension
  3. Select the [IVR] field as Script
  4. Click [OK] in the popup window and save the settings. Once this completed the [Script Settings] fields will show at the bottom of the User Account edit page.
  5. Set the [Script Settings] fields according the notes in the ReadMe file
  6. Go to PBX > Options > Notes and do the following:
    • Create a new Note as folows (without the double quotes)
      • Name = "svkdbn"
      • Description = "SVK Software RadiusCat MT Dial By Name Script"
    • Set the Note Data according to the Java Script indcated in the ReadMe file
  7. Save the Note
  8. Add the Voice Prompt files as per the instructions indicated in the ReadMe file
  9. By default the DBN module will allow a caller a maximum of 3 tries to make a selection when no response was received from the caller.  You can change this value by setting the dbnivr.attempts value in the PBX > Options > Advanced sceen, E.g.: dbnivr.attempts = 5
